Russell Dodds

Russell E. Dodds passed away December 13, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 69 years. He was born November 2, 1954 in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

Russell moved to Omaha in 1985 and has called Papillion home for the last 27 years.  He was a proud friend of Bill W. for the past 38 years and lived life as a strong example for others. Russell was a loving father and a devoted husband. He was also very ornery and always got a kick out of giving someone a hard time. He loved taking his family on vacation, a good dessert, and rooting for the Chiefs in the company of his dog.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Nola Dodds; daughter Rachael Dodds; and brother Danny Jo Dodds.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Terri Dodds; children Josh (Melissa) Dodds, Kyle (Susan Sherman) Dodds, Kelli Dodds, and Kristi (Brett) Gassman; grandchildren Matt, Owen, Harry, Memphis, and Sydney; sisters Debbie Fernatt and Sue Sloan; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE Sunday, December 17, at 11am at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home - L Street Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family.
