Sage Wright

Our beautiful Sage Rai Wright, 30, left us on August 7, 2023. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 13, 1992. As a child, Sage was quiet and observant with a wonderful sense of humor. He attended Fontenelle Elementary, Nathan Hale Middle, and Northwest High School, where he graduated in 2010. While in high school, Sage played soccer and also enjoyed tennis and softball. He also had a natural talent for playing the violin. As an adult, Sage took great pride in being an uncle to his niece and nephews and often spoke about them being his pride and joy. He dreamed of opening a group home someday for underprivileged youth. Sage will be remembered by family and friends as a fun-loving, brave person who knew how to make light of any situation. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

Sage is preceded in death by his infant son Christopher Wright, grandmother Susie Wright and grandfather David T. Davis. He is survived by mothers Daveda Anderson Ervin and Michelle (Willie) Wright-Austin; grandmother Nawasa Davis; sisters Olivia and Charlene Anderson; sisters/aunts Chardenay and Brittania Davis; brothers Marshall Bruland, Christopher Hearns, Justin Love, Kavion Wright, and King Wright; niece Lilly Brooks, nephews Caleb and Carter Thomas, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
