Sebastian Mora-Silva (Tata), age 86, passed away on October 1, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on September 2, 1935, in Jalisco, Mexico to Felipe and Cruz Mora.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Mora-Gonzalez; his brother Serapio; sisters: Felipe and Anselma; and two grandchildren, Lucero Sanchez and Graciela Mora.
Sebastian is survived by his son, Victor Mora; his daughter, Maria Rosario Reyes; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother Jose; sister Rafaela; daughter-in-law, Jackie Mora; son-in-law, Ruperto Reyes; and many nieces and nephews.
Sebastian married Maria Gonzalez on April 13, 1974 in Jalisco, Mexico. He moved to the United States and became a proud citizen. He made his permanent home in Nebraska and retired in 2002 from the meat packing plants in South Omaha. He was also recognized by the Nebraska Cattlemen Association for his work in the meat industry.
Sebastian enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and watching soccer. He especially loved following the Chivas de Guadalajara, the Mexican National Team, and the U.S. Soccer Team.
