Sheryl Dee Fredrick (née Sellers) passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 68. Born August 28, 1956, in Mountain Home, Idaho, Sheryl was cherished for her kind heart, intelligence, and deep love for her family.                                                                     

Sheryl spent 23 years as the Director of Capital Planning at First National Bank of Omaha. Outside of work, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved being surrounded by nature, finding peace in gardening and birdwatching. Sheryl also enjoyed expressing her creativity through crafts and sharing laughter over board games with her family.                                                                                                                                                     

Sheryl married the love of her life, Charles A. Fredrick, and together they shared 37 years of marriage filled with love and laughter.                             

Sheryl is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles; her mother, Sandra Sellers; and her sister, Sally Sellers.                                               

She is survived by her daughter, Rose (Greg Hollins) Fredrick; Dea (Nick) Cristea; Derron (Heather) Fredrick; her sister, Cindy (Michael) Scott; her brother, Larry (Diane) Sellers; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close.                               

In honor of Sheryl’s memory and her courage during her battle with cancer, the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Vaccine Institute Research Fund.
