Talonno Kwame Wright

Talonno Kwame Wright, Lon Meezy, 48, was called home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 10:00 am with a viewing at 9:00 am, at Greater New Hope Church, 1411 N. 30th Street in Omaha. There will be a repast from 1:00 7:00 pm to celebrate Talonnos life at Lothrop Social Hall, 3232 N 24th Street, also in Omaha.

Talonno was born on December 3, 1972, in Omaha, Nebraska. Talonno grew up in Omaha with his brother, cousins, and uncles in North Omaha. Talonno went to high school at Bryan High School and graduated in 1990. Talonno attended York Community College in York, Nebraska, and received a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Talonno had a love for sports and played football and basketball. He started his sports career playing little league football and was coached by his Uncle Benny. In his 20s, he found his true love in writing and rapping. He had a few different rap names, but most knew him as Lon Meezy. He launched four albums during his 20+ years in the music business under his business name, Game Time Entertainment. He was inducted into the Nightlife and Entertainment A-List Hall of Fame by the State of Nebraska in 2012. He has sold his CDs all over the world. This prompted him to start his own clothing line, Money Time Clothing. His shirts can be seen all over the world. Talonno was immensely proud of his clothing line and tirelessly promoted it everywhere.

Although Talonno was proud of his accomplishments in the music world, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He talked lovingly and endlessly about them.

Talonno is survived by his mother, Linda Clay; uncle, Jimmy Wright of Omaha; siblings, Darin (Brenda) Wright of Sioux City, Iowa; Jamal Rankin of Minneapolis, MN; and Rewanda Clay of Columbus, Georgia; his children, Neisha Marion, Tiara Hardnett, Talonna Devers, Daja Biggs, Jaylen Montgomery, Alyanna Butler, JaiShon Davis, all of Omaha; his grandchildren, MarKyiah Marion, MarKese Pope, MaRayja Montgomery, Samiya Hardnett, Keilen Fantroy, Jr., AusTyn Jones, JayLyn Montgomery, Journee Biggs, Deshawn Porter, Jr.; his special friend, Tekeesha Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willy Clay; uncles, Robert Squeaky Wright, William Big Boy Wright, Benny Wright; Talonno leaves to cherish so many more friends and family members.
