Terrence Kelvin Too Tall Mccants

June 15, 1962 — July 11, 2020

Terrence McCants was born June 15, 1962 in Omaha, NE to Frank McCants and Gloria Herron.

Terrence, also lovingly known as Terry or Too Tall came to know Christ at an early age being a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Omaha. He graduated from Dominican High School and was on the Varsity Basketball team where he scored each game.

He was known and loved by many in both Nebraska and Oklahoma, where he lived throughout his life. Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and would often make road trips to visit loved ones. His towering height 66 matched his personality and he was known for his wit, humor, talking noise and debates. Family and friends loved these special moments. Terry pursued a career as a Welder and worked at Omaha Steel. He quickly advanced from a Molder to a Finisher and his final position as a Lead Man. Terry retired after more than 20+ years of commendable service. He was a kind and generous person, who loved his family deeply and he was always willing to share and help others.

Terry departed this life on Saturday, July 11, 2020 in Omaha, NE. Standing at the Heavenly gate along with Jesus to welcome Terry home was his mother and father; and his brothers Robert Wesley Herron and Anthony L. Herron Sr.

Terrance has 2 daughters, Trenisha Maeweathers, Nashville, TN and Shae Smith, Glen Heights, TX, and he has 4 grandchildren. Terry is survived by his brother Dejuan (Carolyn) Herron, Houston, TX; two sisters, Elnora Kay Herron and Felecia (Greg) Clark of Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law, Glenda Horton, Omaha, NE; Aunt Helen Lucas; Special Aunt Kathryn Scott, Inglewood, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The loss of our Beloved Terry will be felt in our hearts forever.
