Todd Joseph Willenborg, 56, of Omaha, Nebraska, went to Heaven on September 16, 2023. He was born on April 23, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska. Todd was a loving husband to Missy Willenborg for 30 years. He was a proud father to his son Trevor, his daughter-in-law Jen, and daughter Tauhni. He was also a caring son to Tom and Vicki Willenborg and their spouses, Jan Willenborg and Karen Hyland. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Tom John Willenborg and Heidi Willenborg, along with his many nieces and nephews.
Beyond his family, Todd had an incredible career. With his witty personality and his knack for sales, he left a lasting mark as an Account Manager at Cisco Systems. His many colleagues over the last 18 years became some of his closest friends. Todd always said, people and the relationships you have with them are one of the most important things in life. Fostering those relationships and taking care of loved ones was always his biggest priority. Though he closed many deals, his greatest accomplishment was being a provider for his family.
Todd’s sense of humor and generous nature made him a joy to be around. Whether he was cruising on the lake, cheering on the Chiefs, or organizing a family garage cleanout, he knew how to make every moment count. And let’s not forget his love for skiing and passion for late night Dairy Queen runs.
Todd always had a faith in Jesus, which only grew stronger the last few years as he fought his battle against cancer. His family has comfort knowing they will be reunited in Heaven again one day.
To celebrate Todd’s incredible life, a memorial service will be held on October 14th at 11:00am at Venue 779 located in Waterloo, Nebraska. His nephew, Pastor Tyler Sanchez, will be officiating the service. Following the service, the Celebration of Life will be continued at Omaha Sports and Games Co. in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Todd wanted his Celebration of Life to include good food, happy memories, and lots of fun.
As we say goodbye to Todd, let’s remember him as a loving husband, father, and friend. His memory and many life lessons will forever guide us, reminding us to live every day to the fullest, put God first, and take care of those around you. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Florals for the service may be sent to the family at 105 S 197th St. Elkhorn, NE 68022. Monetary donations made in Todd’s honor can be sent to Bags of Fun. Todd received countless units of blood throughout his battle with cancer. The family would love for those who are able to donate blood to do so in Todd’s honor by finding your nearest Red Cross location.
