Urbano Vasquez was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born in Dallas, Texas on July 11, 1954. He was preceded in death by his mother Josephine, sister Betty, and nephew John Jr. He worked various jobs to provide for his family until his retirement. His hobbies included watching WWE, football, and action movies; as much as he could fit in a day. His true passion was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend Lori Vasquez, his many siblings, daughter Bonita, stepdaughters Davena, Pamela and Geneva, many grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. We are truly grateful for the time, and extra time, we had with him. Though our hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of his beautiful soul, we are more sorrowful to those in this world who never got the chance to meet him. There will never be another Urbano Vasquez. We will miss you deeply and truly, and hope to see you again in the next life.
There will be no funeral service. Urbano wished for his family and friends to celebrate his life, and this Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of gifts and flowers, we ask for donations to be sent to Live on Nebraska (liveonnebraska.org), as it was a liver transplant that allowed us to have extra time with him.
