Vicki Lynn West passed away, on February 1st 2024, with her life partner Danny Render by her side. Vicki was born June 21st 1961 in Scottsbluff, NE to Delane "Skeet" West and Betty Jean (Williams) West. She attended school in Gering, NE., until the family moved to Denison, IA where she graduated in 1979. After high school Vicki attended Wayne State College and was a pitcher on the softball team. After college Vicki moved to Omaha, NE. There she met Danny Render, they were in a committed relationship for over 30 years. They shared many memorable adventures together. Vicki loved watching Creighton and Husker sports. She hated shopping but treasured taking road trips with her mom and sister. Vicki made friends everywhere she went. She had many jobs over the years but waiting tables, reminiscing with repeat customers, was by far her favorite. After a long shift she would often chill at her favorite tavern with friends and cold Budweiser. As stated by one of her many friends, "she was a pistol with a heart of gold". Vicki left a lasting impact on many people in her life. She will be remembered as quick witted, strong, independent and a little stubborn. We will cherish her forever.
Vicki was a step mother to Danny's children (Nicole and Brett) and was a proud granny to their children. Vicki loved being a part of the Render family vacations and holidays. She was also a proud aunt. She always looked forward to attending the many events all of the kids were involved in.
