Wanda Browder, age 58, passed away peacefully at Emerald Nursing Home February 14, 2021 after a battle with cancer. She was born June 26, 1962 to Jack Smith and Nadine Rogler in Council Bluffs, IA. Wanda lived in Council Bluffs the majority of her life until moving to Omaha in 1988. Wanda enjoyed taking care of loved ones. Her pride and joy was her grandson Nathan.
Wanda lived for and loved taking care of people whether it was family, daycare kids, coworkers, acquaintances, etc. When Katie was first adopted to the time she was 11 her and Charles ran a daycare center and that was her whole life. Her face lit up when she was teaching the kids and she was a wonderful provider. She touched so many lives and so many people with her kindness, generosity and pure selflessness, she did whatever she could for whoever she could. She also devoted her entire life to her daughter Katie, her grandson Nathan and of course Charles. She was one of the most supportive and influential individuals with a heart of gold, and she will be remembered as such.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by Joyce Ann mother in law, Joyce Alayne sister in law and Deborah Ann sister in law.
Wanda is survived by Charles Browder - husband, Carliss Browder - father in law, Jack Smith - father, Kathryn Briggs daughter, Mark Briggs son in law and Nathan Briggs - grandson.
Visitation for Wanda Browder will be held from 2:00 4:00pm at Good Shepherd Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Family will direct memorials.
