Wayne Grulke

Wayne Grulke, age 78 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away March 16, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska. 

Wayne was born April 13, 1945 in Omaha, NE to the late Paul and Lavonne (Hunter) Grulke. Wayne graduated in 1964 from Harlan High School. He helped his father in his TV repair shops and went into the Army in 1965. When he got out of the Army he worked at Western Electric and later Meadow Golds in Colorado Springs, in the Garden of the Gods area. He was also a race car driver. Wayne moved to Omaha and opened a filling station at 108th and L street and was an over the road truck owner. When he moved back to Atlantic, Iowa he opened a computer repair/remote control airplane hobby shop. After he retired, he married Diane Miller in 2008. His many hobbies included trains, flying, remote control 33% airplanes, metal engraving, and glass blowing beads, marbles, and paperweights.

 In addition to his parents Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter Marla Kiser of Minor Hill, TN. 

Wayne is survived by sons, Michael Grulke of Omaha, NE and Brian Grulke of Sioux City, IA; Doug and Kimberly Nakakihara of Colorado Springs, CO; Jeremy and Kari Walsh of Eminence, MO; Larry and Genell Funke of Atlantic, IA; Sara Grulke of Whittemore, IA; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
