William A. Holts, aged 63, passed away on November 3, 2023, in La Vista, Nebraska, surrounded by his loving family. William's life was marked by a strong commitment to service and family. He served with honor in the US Army from 1986 to 1994 and later dedicated a decade of his life as a police officer at the Omaha VA, retiring in 2017 due to medical reasons.
Beyond his professional life, William had a passion for fantasy sports, particularly basketball and football, which he enjoyed alongside his family. He was known for his quick wit and humorous banter, which endeared him to those who knew him. He was a kind-hearted man who consistently put his family's well-being above all else.
William is now reunited with his parents, Gerald and Gloria Holts, and his sister, Karen Holts. He is survived by his beloved wife of 5 years, Kathy Holts; his children, Alexander (Aisha) Holts and Veronica Holts; and his cherished granddaughter, Jade Holts. He is also survived by his brothers, Gerald Holts, Jr., Keith Holts, and Corey (Aundrea) Steward, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends.
A visitation to celebrate William's life will be held on Thursday, November 9, from 6-8 pm at the Good Shepherd L Street Chapel, followed by a graveside service on Friday, November 10, at 9:00am at the Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family, allowing William's memory to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
William's legacy of love, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known him.
