Bill Caddell, 83, was born in Williamsburg KY to William and Mary Alice (Brandon) Caddell. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers, He is survived by his wife Shirley of 63 years, and their three daughters: Linda (Walter) McKown, Deborah (Dave) Steiner and Amy Workman. Eight grandchildren: Sean (Kristen) Murray, Sarah Murray, Kevin Murray, Brian Steiner, Jessica (Ty) Newsome, Megan Workman, Emily Workman and Abbey Workman. Three great grandchildren Rylan, Paxton and Corb Newsome. Bill worked for the Associated Press for 42 years after his honorable discharge from the Air Force. He was a technician and Chief of Communications for the AP. He was hired in Louisville KY, moving to New York City for training, then to Des Moines IA, Louisville KY again, Scottsdale AZ, and Los Angeles CA. His last move was to Omaha NE where he worked until his retirement in 2002. Bill enjoyed spending time fixing just about anything. He had a little camera that he carried with him everywhere he went, He was always on the watch for a picture of an interesting person or anything that caught his eye. He loved spending time with his family, joking around to make people laugh, playing with our dog, Mona. We will miss his big smile.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE Monday, May 2, at 9am at the Omaha National Cemetery. CELEBRATION OF LIFE Monday, May 2, at 11am at Good Shepherd L Street Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Nebraska, or to a charity of your choice.
