Willie Archie Coleman died on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, with his family by his side. Bill, as he was known to all those who knew him well, was born to Sarah Mae Coleman on January 16, 1946, in Lorman, MS. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Hattie and Archie Butler in Lorman, where he started a career in manufacturing.
Willie moved to Omaha, NE, in the early 1970s to reunite with his siblings. He then continued his career in environmental services at the Job Corps, where he met his first wife Carrie Starks. Together they welcomed Christopher and Tolandra Coleman. Upon Carries death in 1982, Willie continued to raise them as a single father. The next chapter of his life started as he transitioned his career to Methodist Hospital and wed Patricia Jones on August 25, 2001.
Willie has always been the type of man you could depend on to be a good servant, father, brother, uncle, worker, and friend. He loved God, and as a faithful Christian he never missed a night saying his prayers, often times falling asleep after a long days work on his knees. Everyone knew Willie as a friendly, good-smelling, hard-working man who always dressed sharp and kept a clean car. He will sorely be missed by all of those who knew him. He will be laid to rest near his mother in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Mae Hall; brothers Alphonso and Aaron Hall; and his granddaughter Natalia Coleman. He leaves lots of family to celebrate his life and continue his legacy. His wife, Patricia Coleman; children: Alexis Davis (Kimberly Buie), Shaun Davis (Sheila), Christopher Coleman (Latonya), Tolandra Coleman. Stepsons: Tracy Williams, Gerald Jones (Angela Martin), Ronald Jones Jr. Sibilings Robert J. Hall (Rovine), Clarence Hall (Lisa), Joyce Reeves, and Arthur Lee Hall. Willie leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members.
