Willie Evelyn Jefferson

Willie moved to Omaha Nebraska from Sumrall Mississippi at the age of 16 with her parents and siblings. She graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1954.

Willie dabbled in many career fields but worked at the Nebraska Psychiatric Hospital for most of those years.

In 1975 Willie married her high school sweetheart, Roger Jefferson. She remained in Omaha raising her daughters and witnessing her family grow.

Willie lived a full life and her legacy lives on through her family.

Willie is preceded in death by her parents Trudia H Jones and Ralph W Jones Sr., her brothers, Ralph W Jones Jr. and Henry (uncle Hank) Jones, her sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Lindsey and Leola (aunt Bea) Allen and her grandson that she raised as her own, Richard Akeem Jones.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters, Bobbie Jean Fairchild and Lavicia Ann Johnson Thorton, baby brother Donn Jones, her three daughters, Cynthia, Robin and Tricia and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
